Prep Your Wood Surface

Tape off the surfaces of your deck or patio you don't want stained. Avoid staining in direct sunlight so the wood stain does not dry unevenly. Then get ready to apply wood stain!

Apply Wood Stain

For even coverage, apply the wood stain to one board at a time. For best results, backbrush into the wood surface.

Clear Wood Finishes

Clear wood finishes & wood stains allow your wood to weather and gray naturally. Least protection, most woodgrain.

Transparent / Toner

Transparent wood stains add a slight hint of color that highlights the wood grain. Less protection, more woodgrain.

Semi-Transparent Stain

Semi-transparent wood stains provide rich color that allows wood grain and texture to show. More protection, less woodgrain.

Semi-Solid Stain

Semi-solid stains give the same rich color as semi-transparent, but hides more wood grain. More protection, least woodgrain.

Solid Color Stain

Solid Color Stain covers the woodgrain and accentuates the natural texture. Most protection, no woodgrain.

Application Details

Just add entire pouch of clear wood sealer to 2 gallons of water in pump sprayer, spray liberally to seal your deck, patio, or other appropriate exterior surface.

Drying Time

Dry time is 1 hour at 77ºF (25ºC); 50% relative humidity, with a 30 day time to full cure.

Cleanup

Use soap and water to clean up tools. Dispose of mixed product by local disposal regulations within 24 hours of mixing. Unmixed pouch can be stored for 1 year, see label for details.
